Road Star V.O.E.S. TPS ControllerThe Vacuum Operated Electric Switch (V.O.E.S.) senses high and low manifold vacuum and signals the ignition to adjust its advance (timing) slope. Under high-load conditions the V.O.E.S signals the ignition to electronically retard timing to reduce the possibility of detonation (ping). In low-load conditions such as cruising at light / mid throttle, the ignition stays in the advanced mode for increased fuel economy, lower operating temperature and better performance.
