|Our core policy is designed to make your purchase simple
for us and for you. This is how it works:
It is entirely your responsibility to read and understand our core charge policy, once you place the order you agree to the above terms as stated and authorize us to charge your core charge accordingly.
Once your order leaves our facility (not the date of order), we allow 30 days for you to send your return core item to us. This generally gives most riders a couple of weeks to try the item out or have it installed (please consider shipping time when determining how long you have to return your core item).
If your return core is not received within the 30 day period, your credit card on file will be charged for the full retail cost of the OEM replacement core*. (i.e. depending on your bike, the core charge for a seat starts at $274.00 and up based upon what the OEM cost is to replace our seat). At that time, we will give you an additional 30 days to return your core to us. If the core is received during that 30 day period, we will refund the core charge to you minus 20% for processing fees.
If after that 2nd 30 day period your core item is not received, we will consider the purchase finalized, and there will be no refund issued.
Please understand, we prefer to not charge any customer for a core replacement at all. So if for some reason (bad weather, etc) you are unable to return the core within the 30 day period, please call us. We are more than happy to work out additional time if needed. We just need to be aware of where our cores are.
Remember cores must be for the same item purchased (i.e. if you order a factory OEM studded seat, you must return a factory OEM studded seat.) Cores MUST be undamaged, and unaltered. Cores returned with damage subject the purchaser to additional replacement costs, and/or may not be accepted. Please call us if you have any questions about the condition of your core 1(509)466-3410. We do not sell our seats or other core items without a core return. If you want to keep your core without sending us one back we will charge you for the OEM replacement cost of the core. In most cases that is over $300.
As an option, if you really would like to keep your core, a good option would be to try to find a used core on eBay, from your dealer, or similar, and send us that as a core. As long as it is for the same bike, and in good shape we will take it as your core, and you can keep your stock core.
Unfortunately we do not ship our core return items overseas (i.e. seats, cams, etc.). We have found it extremely difficult to reclaim our cores once they are shipped outside of the US and Canada due to return shipping costs. We do offer 3 options that many customers choose to take advantage of:
1) Pre send us your core item. Once we receive it we will get your order out to you. (our shipping address is here) Please let us know your core is on its way when you send it, and be sure to put your information inside the box.
2) Purchase a core for your bike online (such as places like eBay or riders forums) and have it directly shipped to us. Once we receive it we will get your order out to you. Please let us know your core is on its way, and be sure to tell the person you purchased your core from to include your name with the shipment.
Either of the ways above eliminates the need for a core return. Or,
3) We can charge your card for the replacement cost of the core up front, then upon return of your core, we will refund the charge minus a 10% processing fee.
* PCS cannot be held responsible for the actions of your financial institution. If the core chare is not able to be placed on the credit card we have on file, your case may be sent to collections and additional cost may be incurred.
